Oh wow. It's been a month since I updated.
Okay, so I have still been paying bills. My debt total is down a little more. Haven't paid off the Christopher Banks card. I have $342.95 left on that one. Things have stalled a little in the debt paying. With COVID, I haven't been able to make it to the bank when people have paid me cash for my things. So, I've been using that money to pay for groceries to keep my grocery account with some money in it.
Also, you'll notice that I no longer have $1000 in my savings account. That's because my son left for his dad's on Friday, and I'm on vacation. Using my vacation time to redo my craft room. New paint, new shelves. That all costs money and I'm glad I have it in my account.
Still trying to sell stuff, though. Can't forget that. Maybe I should stop accepting cash and only accept FB messenger pay or Venmo. Then the money goes into my checking account and I can put it in the savings right away. Or I could take the money out of my wallet where it is easy to spend and put it in a piggy bank or something. I have a change bucket that I regularly contribute to.
Started DoorDash this weekend. Made $79. Now, because DoorDash doesn't take out taxes, I have to put some money aside for that. So, I'm planning on putting half of my weekly deposit from DoorDash into my Smarty Pig account which is completely separate from my credit union accounts. Then, at tax time, if I have to pay any taxes, I can take the money out of Smarty Pig and whatever is left will go towards the new car. Right now, I have $25 every paycheck going to the Smarty Pig account for the new car. This way, it earns interest.
Okay, so, first things first, I need to build my savings account back up. I took out $600 for renovations. I need to put that money back. Gotta sell stuff. Can't wait until my office is put back together. I hate being this disorganized. Right now, on the 26th, I have $161.49 going towards the Christopher Banks credit card. Among other payments.
Until next time. Hopefully it won't be a month.
