Every day I am thankful I have a job. I'm not bragging. I know there are people out there who don't have jobs, who are furloughed and who are struggling to make ends meet. I've been unemployed - I know what it's like. It sucks. Especially when most of your unemployment check goes to health insurance or car payments. Everywhere except where you need it.
So I thank every day that I have a job. And the fact that right now, my employer is paying me an extra $200 a paycheck because I have to be in the office, instead of working from home. It amounts to about $120 after taxes, but that money goes towards my debt.
I'm happy to say that I will be paying off another credit card soon. I have the money for it, but apparently Credit One Bank wants to take the time to verify my bank account again for their online bill pay. Which means I have to wait for 2 small deposits into my account, then I have to enter those deposits into the website. So, hopefully Monday or Tuesday that debt will be cleared out.
The next account to pay off is for the Litter Robot. I tell you, the best investment I made for my happy home with my kitties. Even when it doesn't want to automatically sift the litter, all I have to do is push a button. Then once a week, I empty a bag of used litter. No scooping, no bending over every night. Anyway, with this paycheck, I was able to make a $65 payment. According to the website, I don't have to make another payment until July. But, I'm going to keep making payments every 2 weeks as I can. I'm already seeing savings on the interest. I've saved $8.46 in interest payments. Okay, not a lot, but that is going to add up. It's about the price of a cup of coffee and a morning bagel from Caribou. And, my June minimum payment is $126.49. Normally the Litter Robot payment is $46.49. But with all the minimum payments I'm snowballing, it's adding up and adding up quickly. So, right now, I have $353.50 left to pay on that account. Actually, after this weekend it will be less.
Because I'm selling stuff! I've sold 2 Longaberger pieces today. I decided to raise my prices and offer free US shipping. No more figuring out shipping per zipcode, just to have the buyer back out. All the pricing is up front. I finished listing Longaberger and Precious Moments today. Tomorrow I'll be listing some garage sale stuff and craft supplies.
Well, I'm off to bed. No rest for the busy busy people.
