It is hard to be patient.

I am not the most patient person in the world. I'm not patient at all. I want things done now and I want to see results right away. It's just who I am. So when I see my debt total go up instead of down, I wonder if I'm doing things the right way. After all, I'm only paying the minimum I have to. Trying to keep up with bills and put every thing else into savings. And it's hard to save when I'm trying to improve things in my house. Turn my house into a Smart House, as much as I can. And have time to work on my business and sell things on Facebook. It's hard. It's February and I am more in debt than what I was in the beginning of this journey, even though I'm making payments.

Okay, yes, I've splurged and purchased things. Could they have waited - yeah, probably. But I made the decision to purchase those things and I have to live with the consequences of it.

While I'm trying to pay down my debt, I'm also trying to re-establish good credit history and get my credit score up so that when I do buy a car, I will get a good rate. I know the two go hand in hand - paying down debt and raising the credit score.

I have so many side projects right now, it is almost making my head spin. So how do I keep them straight?

First, I have my planner. I write down all sorts of things in it - things to do, appointments, tasks, etc. I have my various shopping lists on my phone. I have my bill spreadsheet to keep track of my finances and my various other spreadsheets and Quickbooks to keep track of my various business items. It's a lot, I admit, and if I have to scale down on a few things, I will. Like this weekend.

Tomorrow my son and I are attending a workshop on bathroom updates. Then we are hitting Sam's Club and the grocery store for food. After that, I have to start working on my friend's planner. I have to get that done this weekend because she's leaving in a couple weeks. So sad. After that, I want to work on listing things. Taking pictures. Maybe start on the bathroom remodel. I have a 3 day weekend, after all. We'll see how it plays out. But I also have to take it easy this weekend because I have a cold and I want it gone before I go back to work on Tuesday. So we'll see.

Oh wow, it's been awhile. So, catch up. I am currently under $21k for debt (yay) and I have $652 in my savings account. I have been using my savings account not as it is meant to be used - Not using it as a savings account per se, but as a supplement to my current checking account. Every penny of my checking account is being used for debt. If I need extras, I'm using my savings account. For example. I got paid on March 20. Every penny of that paycheck was spent for bills or put back into savings. I received $1,132.73. I paid my gas bill ($78.97), Car insurance ($64.88), Internet ($79.95), Kirby ($58.32) and cat food ($29.00). I also deducted the payments for the mortgage ($202.53 - the rest comes from my VA benefit check) and Hulu ($12.87). I put $250 in my grocery account and $25 in my savings account. Good morning and Happy Saturday! These weekends are very important to me. I have learned that I will not be working from home at all. My boss's boss's boss has decided that since we execute and sign documents in front of notaries on our team, and those notaries have to enter activities into our database, we cannot work from home and sign in front of a notary at a bank. Not that we would be able to anyway, with most branches closing the lobbies in this coronavirus pandemic. And I have been very busy executing assignments, so I get to go into the office every day.
