Yesterday’s dentist visit proved to be an expensive visit.
It was for a routine cleaning, but the dentist recommended a crown and 3
fillings. The total damage – about $1300. That’s about twice what I’ve paid
down already. Oh, that sucks!
Unfortunately for me, I am susceptible to cavities. I brush
every day . Okay, I don’t floss unless I feel something between my teeth.
Nevertheless, I have cavities that need to be fixed.
I haven’t paid the total amount yet – only 60%. I pay the
rest when I go in for the appointments.
So, what am I going to do? Nothing different. I might try to
hurry up and get more things listed, but for now, I’m going to stick with the
path I have chosen. The plan I have will work.
Got another credit card bill in the mail, so I also added the interest from that account.
I made some money this weekend. A friend of mine wanted me
to design her a planner, create a custom bill spreadsheet and make some
stickers for her new planner. I have her on a payment plan and she made her
first payment this weekend. $35.00 right into savings. And, I’m
finally getting the money from my pattern sale on Friday. So that’s an
additional $3.15. And I sold a Longaberger item and earned $2.76 from that sale. Every little bit helps.
It feels like I'm going downhill instead of up. Did I expect this? YES! I expected to have other bills pop up and add to my total. So that just means that I have to work harder to get to my goal. I'm still working on the first step - save $5000. I say it like a mantra. I have to save and have that back up in order to be able to pay things off. That way if an emergency arises, I'm paying with my savings, not with my credit card.
I made a few changes to my personal bill spreadsheet. I now have a running total of my debt countdown for all my bills (each one has its own page) and each month now has that running total. No more calculating it every single time I pay something. Makes my life easier.
I also finally wrote up the instructions for my bill spreadsheet. So that will get listed soon and I can make some money from it. I haven't been listing anything for Longaberger the past week because I've been working on orders and projects, but tomorrow I hope to get some listing done. The trouble is, I'm not liking the Longaberger sheet on Google sheets as much as I thought I would. I might revert back to having it on Excel. I'll play with it tomorrow and see if I can make it more user friendly.
That's all for tonight. My new totals are up. Happy about the savings total - not so much on the debt total. Oh well. Can't let it get me down because I am moving in the right direction.
