I made some money today! I sold a couple small Longaberger items, so I was able to add $7.44 to my savings. And because of money I spent yesterday, $1.29 was transferred from my checking into savings. So my savings grand total is now $79.32. Only $4920.68 to go!

I was also able to clean a large portion of my house today. I found a lot of things that can be put on Facebook to sell. One person's junk is another person's treasure. That's why garage sales are so successful.

Tomorrow I'm going to tackle the kitchen and my office. The living room is somewhat clean already. Maybe just some vacuuming.

However, I will have an expense coming my way I was hoping to avoid. My downstairs toilet has been running constantly when you use it, unless you go in and pull up on the arm inside the tank. Well, I was planning on having a plumbing company come out and fix it, but when I was at Walmart, I found the piece I think I needed. And tried to install it myself with my son's help. Yeah - that didn't go so well. I think I have a leaky hose now. So, I called the plumber I usually use and of course, they were closed. But hopefully they can come out on Monday when my son's home. I saved all the pieces and I'm really hoping it isn't an expensive mistake.

End of the year coming means it will be tax time. Which is a good thing. I always file early so I get my refunds right away. I do expect refunds this year. This is the last year I think I can claim my son on my taxes, which is a bummer.

I joined a new FB group today - a financial awareness group. So far, like-minded people trying to become more financially secure by getting out of debt. One suggestion to me in my introduction post was that I start waitressing. I've never waitressed, honestly. I was thinking instead, maybe this summer I will start working for Grub Hub or Door Dash. Like waitressing, but I'm driving. And I wouldn't start until this summer. I can't stand driving in the winter. Like today - rainy, rainy in the middle of Minnesota winter equals ice. So bad that they shut down all the city buses. Yeah - not so much. We'll see.

Ideas, ideas and I have a nice clean house. Yay!
